Gentle Care Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our innovative telehealth team. You will utilize secure telehealth systems to conduct your sessions, enabling ongoing communication with clients while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. • Conduct comprehensive interviews and evaluations of clients, alongside their families, to understand the social, emotional, and economic barriers affecting their mental health care.
• Utilize a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic approaches to address substance use disorders and past traumatic experiences, adapting your methodology to fit each client’s unique needs.
• Monitor clients' progress and consistently follow up to ensure they achieve their therapeutic goals effectively.
• Actively research and advocate for community resources such as food assistance, healthcare services, and childcare, helping clients navigate these essential services to improve their overall well-being.
• Effectively respond to crisis situations, including mental health emergencies and cases of child abuse, ensuring appropriate intervention and support are provided.
• Identify and reach out to underserved individuals and communities in need of mental health assistance, promoting the importance of mental health support.

You will primarily work with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing trauma, substance use disorders, and families facing emotional challenges. Our clinic emphasizes a client-centered approach, prioritizing the individual needs of all patients while providing culturally competent care tailored to each person’s background and experiences.

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, preferably in a community or health-related setting.
• Experience working with Veterans is highly desirable, reflecting our commitment to supporting those who have served in the military.
• Familiarity with Department of Mental Health billing processes and documentation requirements.
• Background in parent-child interventions is a plus, alongside knowledge of child development and issues such as abuse and neglect.

• Demonstrated ability to provide culturally sensitive counseling and therapy in a telehealth format.
• Experience working in collaborative environments with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to document sessions and track client progress effectively.
