About the Role
As a front-line supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Delivery Manager in the day-to-day operations of our back dock/loadout teams. The Distribution Supervisor is accountable for meeting or exceeding all operational goals through strong interpersonal communication, strategic planning, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate builds strong professional relationships across departments, is an agent of change, and prioritizes the safety of both our team and our customers.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty within the warehouse satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience and/or ability required. You will get to:
  • Team Leadership: Hiring, training, coaching, and supervising loadout personnel to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Operational Oversight: Managing daily receiving, storing, and shipping of materials.
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing Load accuracy through our systems, stock control, and reconciliation .
  • Logistics Coordination: Organizing, scheduling, and tracking carrier shipments, including optimizing routes and transit times.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Using data and analytics )TMS,/Jalapeno systems) to identify bottlenecks, improve productivity, and manage workflows.
  • Ensure that every team member complies with all DOT, OSHA and Misfits Market safety standards - at all times. This includes but is not limited to: wearing your seatbelt when the forklift is in motion, safely exiting and entering the flow of warehouse traffic, using the correct signaling and sounding of protective devices on the forklift, using proper lifting form, and maintaining a clean secure facility
  • Monitor and assess team performance against established KPIs. Implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
  • Foster a collaborative and transparent environment, ensuring information flows effectively across departments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Complete all assigned trainings and inspections with your team to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain excellent record keeping to meet all regulatory standards.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources, including workloads and equipment, to meet operational demands efficiently. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Lead and mentor front-line delivery staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, safety, and teamwork. Provide coaching and support to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Supports the overall distribution volume, which may include helping other drivers complete their routes or working overtime as-needed.
  • Ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills for success. Identify training needs within the team and coordinate with our HR and Learning teams to implement training programs.

You are:
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities, delegate, and manage time efficiently
  • Safety-focused with strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for improved outcomes
  • Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation

You have:
  • Previous leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulatory requirements
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities, delegate, and manage time efficiently
  • Experience training others to new processes or procedural updates
  • An aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and people management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities

Nice to have:
  • Experience with or certification in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, TPM or other relevant certifications
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations
