Job Summary:

The Controller is responsible on a daily basis for the supervision of all aspects of Pinthouse accounting as well as the accounting team, including: management of the general ledger and the chart of accounts, facilitation of the annual audit, day to day management of accounting group and Payroll, overseeing a system of internal controls to safeguard the companyโ€™s assets and the chart of authority, and responsibility of the ERP system.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly reporting package for the Pinthouse group ofentities
  • Responsible for uploading annual operating budgets
  • Conducts payroll processing through Toast portal and reviews payroll taxes
  • Supervise members of the accounting team with the daily accountingfunctions, including all facets of the accounts payable and receivableprocessing, and other financial reporting
  • Provide professional leadership that fosters staff development
  • Maintain and monitor an effective and sound internal control system withinthe department
  • Prepare the year-end audit working papers and act as aliaison with the auditors
  • Assist with accounting management information systems and relatedprojects
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements (income statement, balancesheet, and statement of cash flows) for all corporate entities, including butnot limited to: P&L analysis, balance sheet fluxing, month-end close,journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations andvariance analysis.
  • Ultimate responsibility and oversight of the general and timely closingprocess for monthly financial reporting
  • Monthly 401K match distribution account management
  • Maintains all general ledger linkages into the ERP system
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis
  • Serve as back-up to accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Monthly sales tax returns; annual coordination of all sales tax filings
  • Administration of the Pinthouse Foundation books
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO
Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of senior accounting experience
    • Preferred:Food Service Industry experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and CPA required
    • Preferred: MBA
  • Ability to meet deadlines andorganize workload in order of priority and efficiency
  • Team player; strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Strong ERP system experience required
  • Experience with Excel andGoogle Sheets
