The Role:
The Food Safety Quality and Regulatory Product Line Specialist will provide specialized knowledge of specific segments of quality systems or plant processes such as food safety and quality auditing, instrumentation, specific product line knowledge, computer systems, management or oversight of product traceability, suppliers and other needed focus areas.
This role is in-person, on-site at the Argo Plant. Plant operations are Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays and possible, though rare, Sundays; three (3) shifts run from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Central time).
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, direct stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Actively identify opportunities, develop alternatives, and recommend improvements to business processes.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Participate in a collaborative work environment with Engineers, Technicians, and Supervisors.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Utilize Best Practices of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
  • Shall be responsible for following cGMP's.
  • Responsible for reporting any and all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
What You'll Need:
  • Project Management skills for overall project success delivery.
  • Ability to effectively organize and plan work according to organizational needs and priorities, addressing roadblocks, and developing strategies to ensure high performance.
  • Working knowledge of GFSI standards, SQF preferred. Auditing experience preferred. Knowledgeable of US and International Regulations including FDA, USDA, and CFIA.
  • Coaching & Development skills to leads by example with a focus on performance improvement and career development by acting on feedback, upholding ACH Food values, and leveraging the strengths of everyone in order to succeed.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships by partnering with others, valuing and leveraging different experiences and backgrounds, sharing information, displaying a positive attitude, and aligning on common goals to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure clear messaging at the appropriate levels.
  • Minimum High School Diploma, Food Science bachelor's degree in science-related field, is preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in a FSQR position in a food manufacturing facility
  • Functional experience in Microsoft office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • ERP system experience (SAP, Infor, etc,); RedZone - Preferred
  • PCQI Certified for Human Food and/or HACCP Certified - Preferred
  • Six-Sigma green or black belt - Preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing experience - Preferred
  • GFSI Experience
  • Ability to sit, walk, bend, climb, and lift for extended periods of times daily
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and able to perform in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Leadership abilities with 2-3 years of experience as an established people leader, as the role will include direct reports.

Salary Range:
  • Starting Salary Range: $68,600 - $82,700 USD annual salary range.
  • This is the starting base pay range. Exact compensation will vary based on the candidates' qualifications, job related knowledge and experience and specific location.
