The Role:

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for ensuring ACH's adherence to all GMP, SQF and FDA regulations by performing daily sanitation inspections. Incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the duties of all sanitors.

This position is set to provide coverage during OFF SHIFTS, primarily the overnight 3rd Shift. Plant operations are Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays and possible, though rare, Sundays; three (3) shifts run from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

What You'll Do:

  • Provides appropriate leadership to ensure compliance with ACH and industry food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Partners with Production in developing sanitary procedures, training, and auditing tools.
  • Directs cleaning of equipment, facilities, and all work areas in conjunction with other departments.
  • Manages the internal sanitation program.
  • Maintains accurate and timely sanitation records in compliance to all regulatory audits including SQF.
  • Supervises sanitation employees. Tracks and approves time, addresses discipline and recognition procedures.
  • Complies with all Sanitation safety requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Works with external sanitation vendors to improve performance and cost.
  • Identify and troubleshoot sanitation issues with Quality, Production and Maintenance.
  • Implements procedures to maintain/improve quality, efficiency and safety.
  • Follows and enforces all GMP's.
  • Directs, motivates, trains and instructs staff in cleaning equipment and the facility.
  • Prepares for annual SQF and other quality audits.
  • Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety standards like SQF, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and other relevant sanitation guidelines.
  • Regularly inspect sanitation processes and equipment to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Train the sanitation staff on the proper cleaning techniques, safe chemical handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Verification of staff cleaning techniques and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required.โ€ƒ

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or 7 years of hands-on Sanitation Supervisor experience
  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Problem solving
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to adapt based on audience
  • Good analytical and strategic management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint
  • Conflict Management

Salary Range:

  • Starting Salary Range: $80,000 -$105,000 USD annual salary range.
  • This is the starting base pay range. Exact compensation will vary based on the candidates' qualifications, job related knowledge and experience and specific location.
