Responsibilities

Strategic Account Ownership

  • Serve as the primary commercial owner for assigned U.S. turkey accounts, building long-term trust with producers, integrators, nutritionists, veterinarians, consultants, live production leaders, purchasing teams, and channel partners.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans that include customer goals, key stakeholders, growth opportunities, competitive positioning, risks, prioritized actions, and clear next steps.
  • Protect and grow strategic relationships by proactively identifying customer concerns, competitive threats, retention risks, and opportunities for expanded value.

Sales Growth, Pipeline, and Execution

  • Achieve or exceed assigned net sales, gross margin, and contribution margin targets through disciplined account execution, customer retention, and new opportunity development.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance new sales opportunities through the full customer decision process.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts based on customer potential, opportunity progression, project timing, and implementation probability.
  • Use CRM to document pre-call plans, post-call plans, opportunity status, next steps, and sales project progression.

Customer Value and Differentiation

  • Position Kemin as a strategic partner, not simply a vendor, by aligning Kemin solutions with measurable customer outcomes, ROI, profitability, and operational goals.
  • Communicate Kemin's technical, research, quality, and service advantages in a way that supports premium positioning and differentiation rather than price-based selling.
  • Support customer trials, implementation plans, and follow-up actions that convert technical value into commercial results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Technical Service, Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Operations, and channel partners to deliver coordinated customer support.
  • Translate customer insights into internal action that supports product development, marketing strategy, trial design, forecasting, and business planning.
  • Contribute to a high-accountability team culture built on customer-driven integrity, trust, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in poultry science, animal science, agriculture, business, or a related field preferred.
    • 5+ years of sales, account management, technical sales, nutrition, production, or commercial experience in poultry or animal agriculture preferred.
  • Direct U.S. turkey industry experience and established relationships with turkey producers, integrators, nutritionists, veterinarians, consultants, or allied industry partners strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic account plans, manage complex customer relationships, and convert opportunities into measurable business results.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate product science, biological concepts, application strategies, ROI, and customer implementation plans.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with technical, marketing, product, R&D, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Strong discipline in CRM, pipeline management, call planning, follow-up documentation, forecasting, and project execution.
  • High degree of energy, self-motivation, ownership, judgment, and professional integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%, primarily domestic, with occasional international travel possible

We are an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed/religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship or immigration status (where applicable), sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy/childbirth/breastfeeding or related conditions, age (40+), disability (including the use of a service animal), genetic information, marital status, familial or caregiver status, military or veteran status, status as a victim of domestic violence, reproductive health decisionmaking, and any other status protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
