What is a Flutter web developer?

Flutter Web Developers are software professionals who specialize in using the Flutter framework to create web applications. Flutter, originally developed for mobile apps by Google, now supports building responsive and interactive web interfaces from a single codebase. These developers are skilled in Dart programming and are familiar with web technologies to ensure seamless performance across browsers. They often collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver high-quality user experiences on the web.

How does a Flutter web developer typically collaborate with designers and backend developers during a project?

As a Flutter Web Developer, you'll work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups into interactive web applications, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and user experience goals. Collaboration with backend developers is also essential, as you'll integrate APIs and manage data flow between the frontend and backend systems. Regular stand-up meetings, code reviews, and using project management tools like Jira or Trello help streamline communication and keep the team aligned throughout the development lifecycle.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Flutter web developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Flutter Web Developer, you need strong proficiency in Dart programming, web development fundamentals, and experience with the Flutter framework. Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio Code, Git, RESTful APIs, and knowledge of cross-platform deployment are typically required, and certifications in mobile or web development can be advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help developers collaborate and address user needs efficiently. These skills ensure the creation of high-quality, responsive applications that perform well across different web platforms and meet client or business requirements.

About Silicon IT Hub Inc.

Silicon IT Hub Inc. is a technology solutions company delivering custom software, web, and mobile products for clients across the USA and global markets. We build scalable, reliable applications and pair strong onshore leadership with a distributed delivery model. We value ownership, clean engineering, and clear communication — and we look for people who lead by doing, not just directing.

We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to design and ship high-quality mobile applications, raise the engineering bar across the team, and act as a key link between our onshore stakeholders and our offshore delivery teams.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll design, build, and release customer-facing mobile applications end to end. You'll own complex features from concept through production, mentor other engineers, and be accountable for the quality and timely delivery of work spanning multiple teams.

Design, develop, maintain, and release robust, scalable, and user-centric mobile applications on iOS and/or Android.

Own the implementation of complex mobile features from concept through production, holding a high bar for performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.

Coordinate directly with offshore teams — break down work, distribute and assign tasks across offshore engineers, set clear expectations, and track progress against timelines.

Own quality control of offshore deliverables — run code reviews, enforce standards, validate work against acceptance criteria, and manage cross-time-zone handoffs so nothing slips.

Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional partners to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences.

Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, and adherence to engineering best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and proactively improve app performance and developer productivity.

Mentor and support junior engineers (onshore and offshore) through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.

Stay current with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and trends, evaluating new tools and patterns where they add meaningful value.

Contribute to technical decisions and engineering standards, and provide clear, regular status updates to stakeholders while flagging risks early.

What You'll Bring

6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, shipping customer-facing mobile applications.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Strong proficiency in modern mobile development — Swift/SwiftUI for iOS, Kotlin for Android, or a cross-platform framework such as React Native or Flutter.

Solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX principles, API integration (REST/GraphQL), and mobile security and performance optimization.

Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and app store release processes.

Proven experience working with offshore/distributed teams — task distribution, cross-time-zone coordination, and quality checks on delivered work.

Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

A passion for mobile technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an IT services, consulting, or product-delivery environment.

Experience with mobile testing, experimentation, and automation frameworks.

Experience working with large-scale cloud systems through a provider like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Exposure to IoT, analytics, or backend integration for mobile.

What You'll Gain

Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.

Generous paid time off and paid holidays.

The opportunity to lead high-impact projects and shape engineering practices across a growing team.
