Job description

Signing Bonus: $1,000 total — paid in four installments of $250 at your 3, 6, 9, and 12‑month anniversaries.

A day in the life

You clock in at 6:00 AM in a clean, climate-controlled shop. The morning starts with assembling a training unit — routing hydraulic hoses and pneumatic lines, soldering copper tubing with precision, and adding light electrical elements to bring the build together. Before lunch, you read blueprints and product specs to confirm every component is positioned and fastened correctly. In the afternoon, you calibrate and test the unit, troubleshoot a pressure issue, and sign off knowing it will meet our quality standards.

What you'll build and do
  • Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
  • Solder copper tubing with clean, reliable joints.
  • Integrate basic electrical elements into assemblies as required.
  • Diagnose and correct defects in fluid power components to ensure units pass inspection.
  • Identify and resolve issues with broken or faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic parts.
  • Calibrate, test, and maintain production and test-related equipment as designated.
What you bring
  • Foundational plumbing and basic HVAC experience.
  • Hands-on exposure to hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency soldering copper tubing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints and product specifications in English.
  • Reliability — ready to work at 6:00 AM.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Schedule and stability
  • Day shift for everyone: 40 hours, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
  • No required weekends; optional overtime available Saturdays 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
  • Climate-controlled facility for comfort and consistency.
Rewards and growth
  • Seven paid holidays and generous PTO — 120 hours (3 weeks) your first year, growing up to 5 weeks.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage at affordable rates.
  • Company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability.
  • Free access to our full eLearning library (content comparable to Ivy Tech courses).
  • Clear paths to advance your skills and your pay.
Life at Amatrol
  • A supportive, tight-knit team — you’re never just a number.
  • We celebrate together: employee lunches, ice cream days, treat carts, and a Christmas luncheon.
  • Family-owned since 1981 with a mission that matters: building training systems that help people gain in-demand skills and better jobs.
  • Hear from our team: https://youtu.be/Z8KximAKZ6A
