Job description

Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Location: Mission Viejo, CA (Saddleback MemorialCare)

Shift: Day Shift 

Duration: 8 weeks

Pay: $55.00/hour-$60.00/hour


Job Responsibilities

    •    Provide specialized wound care treatment for adult and geriatric patients.

    •    Perform comprehensive wound assessments, including staging of pressure ulcers.

    •    Manage colostomy, ileostomy, and incontinence care.

    •    Utilize advanced wound care techniques, including wound vac therapy and various debridement methods.

    •    Document care using the Epic electronic medical record system.


Qualifications

    •    Experience: Minimum 1 year (Unit accepts first-time travelers)

    •    Certifications: BLS, WOCN (Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing)

    •    Required Skills:

    •    Wound assessment and management (pressure ulcers, neuropathic ulcers, arterial/venous ulcers)

    •    Colostomy and ileostomy care

    •    Catheter and incontinence program management

    •    Wound vac therapy and dressing changes
