Flourish Mental Health is seeking a licensed and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic, patient-focused team. You will be equipped with the tools needed to conduct sessions effectively, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans.

• Engage with patients on a regular basis to evaluate their mental and emotional health, using active listening techniques to gain deeper insights.
• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to diagnose disorders and develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate best practices in mental health care.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based techniques.
• Monitor patient progress by maintaining thorough documentation, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and ensuring that goals align with patient needs.
• Collaborate with external healthcare providers and community organizations to ensure that patients receive holistic care, including referrals for social services or supplementary treatments.
• Participate in continuous education opportunities to maintain your licensure and stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health practices, specifically with trauma-informed care.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Flourish Mental Health, you will primarily work with clients who have experienced trauma. This includes individuals recovering from accidents, domestic violence, or significant life changes that impact their mental health. Your role will involve fostering a safe therapeutic environment that encourages patients to express their emotions and overcome barriers to recovery. The support you provide contributes to their overall well-being and empowerment, ultimately facilitating meaningful progress in their lives.

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• A valid License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of three years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly working with trauma patients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with a strong capability in maintaining digital records and communicating via electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for creating a rapport with patients and their families.

• Experience with Salesforce and electronic medical recording (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
• Training in trauma-informed care and familiarity with various therapeutic approaches related to trauma recovery.
• Previous experience in a community mental health setting is advantageous, emphasizing an understanding of the unique challenges faced by diverse populations.

Flourish Mental Health offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
