Truck Loader
Ligonier Indiana
6pm-6am rotating shifts - Must train on days for a few weeks
Pay starts at 17.50 per hour with an increase to 19.00 per hour after successful completion of training.
Star of the West Milling Company is hiring a Truck Loader for our Ligonier flour mill. This is a hands on position responsible for loading finished flour products onto trucks and railcars while ensuring accurate paperwork, safe loading practices, and on time shipments. If you enjoy working in an industrial environment and take pride in accuracy and teamwork, we want to hear from you.
Job Responsibilities
Load and seal outbound trailers with finished product
Load and seal inbound and outbound railcars
Load Midds trailers and complete all required shipping paperwork
Load trucks to maximum legal weight requirements
Assist the Shift Miller with daily operations as needed
Support packing operations when required
Complete assigned cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks including weekly mezzanine cleaning
Help maintain equipment and company property in good condition
Follow shipping schedules to ensure on time deliveries
Identify and suggest improvements to facility operations and systems
Observe and report any unusual site security activity
Check diesel fuel levels in the track mobile and yard tractor at the end of each shift
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Ability to work all shifts including weekends when needed
Ability to climb stairs and get on and off bulk trailers throughout the shift
Ability to perform general cleaning and basic maintenance tasks
Ability to lift and handle bags weighing up to 50 pounds
Dependable work ethic with strong attention to safety and quality
