Overview
The role of the Kids' Dentistry Manager is to be responsible for achieving Kids Dentistry financial performance and revenue growth strategy for their location. The manager needs to be an expert in their local market, leveraging best practices for patient acquisition and retention. The manager provides the leadership and guidance to achieve individual and team success. The manager supports and drives PDS's mission and culture for their location, implementing the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE). Driving Orthodontic financial performance and revenue growth may also be a requirement in locations that have Pediatrics and Orthodontics services designed to operate from the same location/entry.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the launch of Pediatric Dental model and programs in assigned office by implementing best operational practices
  • Maintain an office schedule that is productive and organized so that the Pediatric Dentist will have a profitable and smooth-running office
  • Assists Operations Manager drive year over year revenue and profit growth by managing expenses to monthly budget, managing profit and loss, implement and ensure adherence to cash management and accounting protocols, and other financial drivers of the location
  • Performs People Services related functions such as determining and maintaining efficient staffing levels in the location, interviewing and selecting, performance appraisals, talent development, disciplinary actions and salary administration
  • Provide feedback and implement strategies regarding specific tactics that change financial and patient outcomes such that the rest of the organization can benefit
  • Creating an environment that promotes PDS Patient for Life (PFL) and Pediatrics culture and values daily
  • Make certain the first visit as well as subsequent visits thereafter by the Pediatric Dentist will be smooth by checking supplies, forms, schedule and dental assistants are in order
  • Actively engage in creating best practices for Pediatric office management and help implementation and execution of system in place
  • Accountable for procedures and insurance benefits and analyze opportunities in PRISM for Pediatric offices
  • Assist in assessing, investigating, and resolving staff and patient issues by analyzing the facts and circumstances to develop timely, effective, logical yet creative solutions
  • Assist in implementing, coordinating and managing marketing programs to grow the business
  • Assist in developing and implementing precise, realistic, and measurable individual and office goals that are challenging and compatible with Company policy
  • May provide leadership, coaching and mentoring in an effort to identify and implement opportunities for improvement
  • Lead daily huddles and meetings as required
  • Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to criteria with respect to facility cleanliness and maintenance
  • Other duties assigned by Management

Qualifications
  • At least 5 or more years of related work experience
  • Operational management knowledge of medical/dental offices
  • Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or technical school; or,
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience such as prior coursework or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, business, or training
  • Knowledge of WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and QSI software applications
  • Experience leading a team, mentoring and coaching subordinates
