The Opportunity

The Floating Store Manager is a key leader within the US Commercial team responsible for driving store performance, developing a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer experience. This role leads daily store operations with a strong focus on sales growth, profitability, operational excellence, and team development.

The Floating Store Manager empowers their team to achieve outstanding results by building strong customer relationships, improving sales performance, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and effectively.

You will work across multiple stores within the Georgia territory such as Dalton, Calhoun, and Rome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily store operations to achieve sales, profitability, customer service, and operational goals
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop store team members to build a high-performing team and support career growth
  • Schedule employees, manage labor costs, and ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Coach associates on selling techniques, product knowledge, and upselling strategies to drive premium product adoption
  • Partner with Sales Representatives and leadership to grow business through customer outreach, sales calls, and prospect development
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience through strong service standards, customer engagement, and issue resolution
  • Manage inventory levels, product availability, ordering, and inventory accuracy
  • Maintain merchandising standards, product presentation, and store organization
  • Oversee cash handling, POS processes, and daily financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Analyze sales performance, financial results, and store scorecards to make informed business decisions
  • Develop and execute local sales and marketing initiatives aligned with company strategies
  • Collaborate with regional and operational leaders to achieve business objectives

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of retail store experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail management or outside sales experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and customer service skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data and make business decisions
  • Paint, coatings, or related product knowledge preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts (minimum 45 hours per week)
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based applications
