Job description

CAH-Carthage Family Health Clinic–Floating Receptionist – Full Time-Day Shift – 8-hour shift between the hours of 7a-5p  Req 9568

Pay Range: $16.94-$21.60*

Schedules appointments, answers telephone and prioritizes and relays messages as appropriate. Registers patients, distributes Bill of Rights, consents, in-services information, and routine instruction, coordinates referrals, and assist patients with filling out forms, etc. Transports, sorts, opens and distributes mails. Maintains accurate medical records and billing information. Complies with established policies and procedures. Complies with established policies and procedures. Orders supplies with supervisor’s approval and keeps necessary logs and forwards complaints and/or incidents immediately to supervisor. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as necessary. Weekends not required, overtime available. Locations are in Carthage with occasional floating to satellite location in Philadelphia.

Qualifications:

  1. 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. Previous experience in the medical secretarial field highly preferred (candidates with this experience will be reviewed prior to any others).

  3. Possession of strong organizational skills.

  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills required.

  5. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
