ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

What is the Float Pool?

The Float Pool is a specialized, on-call team that provides the flexibility to work across multiple departments. It offers diverse experiences and the opportunity to adapt to various clinical environments, enhancing your skills and versatility.

Job Type: Per Diem, FLOAT Pool (On Call)

Pay: $23 per hour

Hours: Mon-Fri, Per Diem

Primary Responsibilities:

Front Office:

  • Welcome patients warmly, manage intake forms, and efficiently schedule appointments.
  • Navigate full-cycle patient registration, including insurance verification, eligibility checks, fee communication, and payment collection.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating patient demographics and insurance information in the electronic health records system.

Back Office:

  • Measures and records vital signs, patient medical history and chief complaints.
  • Prepares patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests.
  • Assists physician with exams and other procedures.
  • Prepares and administers medications and injections/blood draws with physician authorization as needed.
  • Maintains supplies, equipment, stocks and sterilizes instruments.
  • Maintains clean facility, rooms and waiting area.

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (not required if you do front desk only).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Knowledge in Insurance Verification and Authorizations is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Proficient in medical terminology, medications, and injection procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a commitment to treating all patients with kindness and consideration.
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA requirements for maintaining patient confidentiality.
