This means your daily responsibilities can vary greatly, from assisting in medical-surgical units to supporting emergency or intensive care teams. The main challenge is quickly adapting to different teams, patient populations, and workflows, often with little notice. However, this role offers valuable exposure to a wide range of clinical experiences and can accelerate your development as a well-rounded nurse. Teamwork and strong communication skills are essential, as you frequently collaborate with staff from various units.

Outstanding communication, flexibility, and resilience set top performers apart in this dynamic role. These skills ensure effective patient care and seamless integration into different teams and clinical environments.

What are Float Health professionals?

Their primary role is to fill staffing gaps, provide support during busy periods, and ensure that patient care remains consistent across units. Float Health professionals can include nurses, nursing assistants, and other clinical staff. They must adapt quickly to new environments and teams, making flexibility and strong clinical skills essential for success in this role.
