P&C Marketing Integration is focused on building Nationwide's leadership position around "Specialized Protection with Confidence" to fuel brand choice, strengthening partner satisfaction and growth through differentiated experiences, and using data, AI, and technology to deliver smarter solutions that improve business outcomes.

We are seeking a Consultant, Web Personalization and Scorecard to translate insights into journey and experience requirements and execute web personalization plans for distribution partners on .com/agents using Marketing Cloud Personalization, in partnership with Audience Leads, Business Unit Marketers, Enterprise Brand, and Marketing Operations. Leads the P&C Marketing Scorecard and associated deep-dive analysis, including identifying automation and reporting improvements.

This role will report to the Director, Personalization & Digital Channel Marketing within P&C Marketing Integration.

This hybrid position may be based in Des Moines, IA or Columbus, OH. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 2 days per week. Current Nationwide Remote Associates may also be considered.

As a Consultant, you are responsible for leading and/or assisting the overall development and execution of marketing strategies using highly advanced marketing principles and standard methodologies. You will execute on future business or marketing needs driven by quantitative data/research, competitive insights and/or consumer behaviors. We'll count on you to ensure a strong focus on end-to-end customer experience, delivering outstanding customer experience overall.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long term sustainable growth of the business. Synthesizes data and uses this understanding to support identification and innovation of business building solutions

  • Leads projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.

  • Implements digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning, and execution.

  • Collaborates on and/or may lead creative development, and provides feedback on look and feel. Develops creative briefs.

  • Monitors emerging innovative trends in content, design and marketing tactics

  • Reviews and uses customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and forecast market, competitor and customer needs and behavior, define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.

  • Ensures programs are on strategy and on schedule.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director/AVP. This is an individual contributor role and may have an opportunity to manage a team based on organizational structure; may also lead virtual/project teams.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred. Master's degree is a plus.

License/Certification/Designation: Technical financial services designations such as FINRA, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus. Additional licensing may be required to hold this position; and associates will need to acquire the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate fails or is unable to acquire required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.

Experience: Typically eight or more years related professional experience in marketing, strategy, consulting, financial services, or related field.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, insurance and/or financial services products, distribution systems, and customers. Knowledge of project leadership concepts and methodologies. Possesses strong verbal and written skills needed to develop and review research studies, communicate research findings, market recommendations based on findings, and maintain relationships. Ability to lead and prioritize projects. Ability to function independently or in a team environment with limited supervision. Demonstrates core marketing proficiencies, including strategy development, utilization of insights and analytics, building brand equity and developing effective marketing communications. Skilled at customer focus, operating capabilities, personal effectiveness, and strategic capabilities.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and HR Business Partner.
