Job description

Creates, initiates, monitor & enforce all airworthiness, safety & operational processes. Use continuous analysis and surveillance to ensure full compliance with federal aviation administration (FAA) and IATA airworthiness, safety and operational requirements in accordance with federal aviation regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Liases with the FAA and Department of Defense to ensure FedEx conducts air operations to the highest degree of safety and legal fitness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in aeronautical engineering, SMS or related aviation discipline required.

FAA A&P- for ADCG, Records and A/C Mx Audits, Internal Evaluation - Airworthiness

FAA ATP, or DSP license required- for Internal Evaluation Air Safety

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) years experience in air carrier mx, flight ops or equivalent military experience. Three (3) years performing audits in a QA, Aircraft MX, Engineering or Flight Operations environment. Experience interacting with FAA. Experience in excel, word doc and databases. Experience interpreting AD's, engineering documents, WIC, OEM specifications, FAA regulatory documents, or military-related equivalent documents. For auditor functions, experience must be equivalent to performing audits per FAA regulations, IOSA, DOD or C.A.S.E. standards or as a certified C.A.S.E. auditor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good planning, analytical & communication skills req. In-depth knowledge of CFRS.

Job Conditions
