The role of Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapist offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while actively engaging with a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine the most appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience, using methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote holistic healing.
  • Engage in crisis intervention, providing urgent support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
  • Collaborate in case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation, strictly adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Continuously expand professional knowledge by staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve at Maricopa Counseling span a broad spectrum of backgrounds. They include individuals coping with severe trauma, PTSD, and complex emotional challenges requiring expert guidance and support. Our therapists are driven by the mission to empower clients on their healing journey and provide compassionate care tailored to each individualโ€™s needs.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
  • A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 โ€“ 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
