Job description

Job Summary: As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Your responsibilities will involve analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, implementing new methodologies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  2. Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and reduce costs.
  3. Design experiments, collect data, and perform statistical analysis to validate process improvements and ensure their effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
  5. Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
  6. Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  7. Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing processes.
  8. Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and procedures.
  9. Conduct risk assessments and participate in hazard analyses to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  10. Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices, fostering innovation, and implementing Lean Six Sigma principles.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field. 
  2. Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food and beverages, or electronics.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
  4. Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  5. Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to manufacturing processes (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  7. Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead project teams to successful outcomes.
  8. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and principles of continuous improvement.
  9. Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
  10. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies to drive process innovation and improvement.
