Job description

The Quality Management System (QMS) department creates, supports, and oversees the company's global quality processes that affect both the product and the customer experience. The QMS applies to all value streams of the company's operations. The QMS North America team is expanding to build a dedicated group that will make sure our quality processes are clearly defined, properly rolled out, consistently followed, and effectively executed. This helps reduce quality issues and customer risks, while also improving key performance indicators (KPIs).
The Quality Auditor is responsible for creating and carrying out detailed quality audit plans across several areas of the business, including design, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, supplier quality, supply chain, sales/after-sales, and other cross-functional domains.
The Auditor identifies potential risks to Stellantis by assessing whether teams are following required quality processes and standards, and by evaluating how gaps could impact customer quality.
They perform audits in domains that include:
  • Planning and preparing the audit
  • Conducting audit activities
  • Analyzing findings
  • Supporting development and approving action plans
  • Ensuring actions are completed and effective
  • Documenting audit report / results

They will build and maintain strong working relationships with quality stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and transparency with respect to audit status and findings.
The Auditor must be able to work effectively in situations with uncertainty, make sound decisions, and know when to prioritize or escalate issues in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong collaboration skills, as the Auditor will interact with shop-floor operators, team members, and all levels of management to gather information through both formal reports and informal conversations.
The Auditor will lead audit activities that evaluate quality risks and process execution by using data analysis, research, interviews, and investigative techniques. The Auditor will support other team members and help with special projects, such as department initiatives, training programs, and recruiting activities.
This role may require travel-up to approximately 25% of the time-to audit or support different areas across the company's full value stream. This includes engineering sites, Stellantis locations, dealer networks, and supplier facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience with one or more quality domains, value streams, and/or auditing
  • Ability to make independent decisions, develop and carry out audit plans, and solve problems effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and conflict-management abilities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with the audit team and quality stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply quality auditing principles across different functions and environments
  • Flexibility and willingness to support audits or special assignments in other functional areas as needed by the business

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience leading quality audits
  • Auditor certification
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems and/or ISO standards
  • Strong understanding of one or more value streams-such as design, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, supplier quality, supply chain, or sales/after-sales-including their processes and standards
  • Strong computer skills, including data analytics and the use of tools such as Excel, Power BI, and AI-enabled applications
  • OEM or dealer network experience
