Job description

Part-Time & Full Time
Seeking: Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
Experience: At least 2-3 yrs experience with Mental Health/ Substance Abuse Population; Child/Adult Experience
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday's from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Requirements:
Education: Minimum - Master's Degree in health and human services field.
Personal: Strong organizational and communication skills, time management skills, customer service skills, ability to multi-task and be flexible, ability to work with diverse groups of individuals and be highly motivated to accurately complete all assigned duties.
  • Maintain all required credentialing.
  • A professional counselor or Licensed Social Worker (e.g., LPC, LMSW, LISW, LMFT)
  • General knowledge of Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders detailed in the DSM-V.
  • Knowledge of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
  • Maintain a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients to evaluate and assign the appropriate services/education treatment program, conduct group therapy sessions, and occasionally provide counseling services to individuals.
  • Manage a client caseload, consult with other staff as well as referring agencies, perform client follow-up and discharge duties.
  • Interact and communicate with groups and individuals involved in the agency.
  • Prepare, receive, and process a variety of documents and reports. Attend required training and meetings.
  • Record keeping on an Electronic Health Record system (Qualifacts/CareLogic).
  • Ensure that assigned program meets the policies, procedures, and licensing standards required by DHEC, CARF, and the DAODAS Quality Assurance Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
