Job description

As a financial reporting associate manager on our reinsuranc team, you’ll lead high‑impact financial reporting while developing a team of specialists. You’ll own the most complex accounting and reporting activities, apply independent judgment, and partner across the organization to ensure accurate, compliant financial results. Working closely with leaders, auditors, and business partners, you’ll support regulatory reporting, operational decisions, and the integrity of the company’s financial statements.

This is a hybrid role, requiring work from our headquarters in Mayfield Village, OH.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g., Finance) and a minimum of 6 years accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a specialized area (e.g. reinsurance, investments), financial reporting, or public accounting experience.

Preferred skills

  • Extensive reinsurance reporting experience, including medium‑to‑hard treaty structures, ceded and assumed business, and broker interactions.
  • Hands‑on preparation or review of statutory regulatory disclosures such as Schedule F, General Interrogatories, Footnote 23, and SSAP 62.
  • Proven ownership of month‑end close activities, including system feeds, journal entries, reconciliations, billings, and payments.
  • Proven analytical and automation experience using SQL, VBA, Power Query, and reporting or data platforms such as SAP Business Objects, Snowflake, Power BI, Python, Prima XL, Reinsurance Pro, or Workday.
  • Demonstrated success designing scalable procedures, controls, and workflows in complex, highly regulated financial reporting environments.

Compensation

  • $98,400 - $131,200/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.
