About the Role

Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Project Engineer for Coyote Block 2 Product Line Initial Operational Capability (IOC) efforts. This role will be matrixed to the Coyote portfolio from the Product Support Program Management Office. The position is onsite, located in Tucson, AZ. Relocation assistance is not available.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate test integration activities between functional area groups, provide hands‑on expertise to assist Field Engineering staff during test events, and provide technical interface with customer representatives at demonstrations, test events, and deployment set‑ups.
  • Work with the engineering team to address product updates across affected groups such as Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations while addressing lessons learned from the Field Engineering teams embedded with deployed hardware.
  • Prepare, revise, update, and monitor required documentation and analysis in compliance with contract requirements and Raytheon's Integrated Product Development System (IPDS), such as gate reviews and the GEM tool, the program earned value management system (EVMS), and both corporate‑ and business‑level policies and procedures.
  • Develop program‑enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations (typically organized into integrated product teams (IPTs) and/or cross product teams (CPTs)) including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support), and administrative functions.
  • Support the program risk and opportunity process in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations.
  • Support daily program management and cadence such as risk review boards, customer reviews, IPT/CPT reviews, failure review boards, program management reviews (PMRs), staffing reviews, and decision reviews to achieve contract commitments.
  • Capture and track program action items and work with action owners to ensure timely and satisfactory closure of actions.
  • Identify and implement key program assessments and metrics to lead development of situational awareness charts and performance assessments that enable program success drivers by program leadership teams.
  • Support domestic travel as needed for test events and customer meetings.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with systems integration and test processes and documentation, including preparation of test plans and procedures, support of Test Readiness Reviews, data analysis, and post‑test reporting.
  • Experience organizing cross‑functional teams to include, but not limited to, Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support), and/or administrative functions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
We Prefer
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals and synthesizing Submittal Gate (Gate 4) and Start‑up Gate (Gate 5 IPDS) packages for management review and approval.
  • Prior experience supporting development, production, and/or sustainment programs, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, management, and/or closeout.
  • Proficiency with PMX tool suite or similar program management systems.
  • Experience with the COYOTE family of products.
