Belmark is seeking for an individual to join our team at our Flexible Packaging plant in De Pere, WI. You may be wondering - what do we do here at Belmark? Well, we create many of the labels, cartons, pressure sensitive, and flexible film we as consumers see daily when shopping for various items. In this role, you will operate a coater at the highest efficiency possible while following standard operating procedures and work instructions to produce a high quality product.

Finish flexible packaging film from flexo presses and Web-To-Print press. Inspect printed and/or laminated film for accepted quality and complete the appropriate paperwork. Provide fast turnaround of orders to meet customer needs. May also be required to help in other departments. Come join our innovative, fun, and growing team today!

Schedule:

  • PM shift hours are from 4:00 P.M. - 4:00 A.M. with a schedule of 3 days on and 4 days off
  • 12 hour shifts with consistent hours, NO SWING SHIFT
  • Overtime after 36 hours!
  • Many of our employees enjoy the rotating shift due to the days off received, which allows for time to accomplish things around the home and spend time with friends and family!

Pay:

  • $23.00 - $25.00 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed.
  • Shift differential for the PM shift is $2.00 per hour

What will I do in this role?

  • Responsible for complying with and following all standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform all job tasks utilizing required personal protective equipment and correct safety procedures.
  • Maintain quality, productivity and waste according to set standards.
  • Ensure product appearance.
  • Set up and operate the coater. This includes webbing and clean-up.
  • Mount plates as needed.
  • Perform routine coating press maintenance
  • Move roll(s) to stage for next job(s)
  • Inspect for and remove bad product.
  • Identify product with accurate information.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork.
  • Keep work area and machine clean.
  • May work in other departments and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of and ability to speak the English language fluently and effectively utilize the English language.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work some overtime. May be required to flex hours with short notice.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use a ruler, calculator and various hand tools.
  • Ability to set up and operate a coater.
  • Ability to: stand for 75% of work time; stoop, kneel or crouch for 20% of work time; and walk for 5-25% of work time.
  • Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less; see clearly at 20 feet or more; identify and distinguish colors; observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; judge distances and spatial relationships; and to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
  • Ability to lift: 25 pounds or less 20% of work time; 50 pounds or less 50% of work rime; and 75 pounds or less 20% of work time.
  • May be asked to lift up to 100 pounds or more.
