What is Flexible Matrix Reasoning?

Flexible Matrix Reasoning typically refers to the ability to identify patterns, relationships, or logical rules within a matrix of images, shapes, or numbers, and it is often measured in cognitive or aptitude assessments. This skill involves recognizing how elements change across rows and columns and using reasoning to select the correct answer from multiple options. It is considered an important cognitive ability as it reflects fluid intelligence, problem-solving, and abstract thinking, and is used in various standardized tests such as the WAIS (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale) and Raven's Progressive Matrices.

What are some typical challenges faced by professionals specializing in flexible matrix reasoning within psychological assessment roles?

Professionals working with flexible matrix reasoning in psychological assessment often encounter the challenge of accurately interpreting nonverbal reasoning abilities across diverse populations. They must ensure that cultural and linguistic differences do not skew test results, requiring keen attention to detail and adaptability. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, such as psychologists and educators, is common to contextualize findings and recommend appropriate interventions. Staying current with best practices and updates in assessment tools is also essential for reliable and ethical evaluation.

Job description

Are you the detail‑driven hygiene pro our plant needs?

Imagine this: a product changeover is scheduled, followed by a kosher run, and then a 100% allergen wash. You step in, align the cleaning matrix, document every step from pre‑op to MSS task completion, and get the line ready—confidently and safely. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, read on.

Your mission
  • Be the safety standard bearer: Enforce all food safety elements across the plant—no exceptions.
  • Make cleanliness visible: Keep production areas and equipment, cafeteria, restrooms, walls, ceilings, and floors pristine—and extend that care to the outside grounds, including parking lots.
  • Master the tools: Operate floor scrubbers and scissor lifts with confidence. If new areas or equipment become essential, you’ll receive training and take ownership.
  • Document like a pro: Support all line cleanups and complete records for pre‑operational inspections, adverse events, and MSS task completion. These are essential functions.
  • Handle chemicals correctly: Use cleaning agents exactly as manufacturers specify—this is an essential function.
  • Own the cleaning matrix: Execute requirements for changeovers, shutdowns, startups, periodicals, and specialized runs (100% organic, 100% wash, 100% allergen, kosher)—an essential function.
  • Raise the flag fast: Report discrepancies to your supervisor or the Plant Sanitation Manager, including those tied to HACCP Programs, the Allergen Control Program, GMP findings, adverse events, and departmental interactions—an essential function.
How you’ll grow

You will cross‑train across sanitation roles to support business needs—this is essential to the job and central to your development. Expect guided training as additional areas or equipment are designated essential by leadership.

What you bring
  • Comfort with basic math and practical reasoning.
  • A flexible schedule, including availability for intercompany projects or weekend work when needed.
Success looks like

Every shift ends with a compliant, inspection‑ready environment, clear documentation, and zero doubt that food safety was enforced across the plant.
