Job description

Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.

We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you’ll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

About the Role

The Director, Finance Tech owns the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of the enterprise estate of software for Finance applications. This leader is accountable for both core financial platforms — including ERP, close, spend, tax, equity, record-to-report, order-to-cash integrations, and procure-to-pay integrations — and FP&A / Planning platforms, including EPM, modeling, forecasting, and dashboards.

This role partners deeply with Finance and Accounting, as well as Internal Audit, to ensure finance data is accurate, secure, automated, compliant, and decision-useful. The Director is also the owner for finance systems governance, including SOX / ITGC readiness, segregation of duties, and audit relationships.

This role will oversee the selection, implementation, and run-stage of systems including, but not limited to, NetSuite, Pigment, Workiva, Stripe, Payhawk, and Kyriba.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Act as the strategic and architectural builder and owner of the core Finance platforms, including NetSuite, Pigment, Workiva, Stripe, and Payhawk, ensuring platforms and integrations scale appropriately with business growth and audit requirements.
  • Ensure platform health, scalability, release management, and vendor performance across the Finance technology portfolio.
  • Partner with Finance teams to map existing manual processes, proactively identify automation opportunities, and execute initiatives that streamline operations and reduce human error.
  • Sponsor AI and automation capabilities across the portfolio to improve speed, accuracy, and operational leverage.
  • Own end-to-end financial data flows and integrations between ERP, EPM, HRIS, CRM, billing, and analytics platforms.
  • Set and enforce finance systems governance, including access controls, segregation of duties, change management, ITGC / SOX controls, and evidence quality.
  • Lead SOX gap remediation and continuous control improvement across the Finance technology portfolio.
  • Improve user experience and company-wide adoption through documentation and education.
About You
  • You have 10+ years of experience in finance systems, enterprise applications, or business systems, including 4+ years leading a team.
  • You have hands‑on experience taking a company public or operating finance systems at a company that has recently gone public, including IPO readiness, S-1 preparation, SOX scaling, and first‑year public close.
  • You bring deep expertise in ERP ecosystems, especially NetSuite, and adjacent finance tools across record-to-report, procure-to-pay, revenue lifecycle, expense, close, tax, compliance, and order-to-cash.
  • You have strong experience with FP&A platforms and planning processes, including forecasting, budgeting, modeling, and dashboards.
  • You have proven ability to design and govern integrations across ERP, EPM, HRIS, CRM, billing, and data platforms.
  • You have demonstrated ownership of SOX / ITGC controls and change management, and experience partnering with internal and external auditors through rapid growth and change.
  • You have a track record of leading enterprise programs with executive stakeholders.
  • You have proven ability to apply AI where appropriate to introduce speed and accuracy.
What we can offer you

At Nscale, you'll find a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where your contributions spark real impact. We're building something extraordinary, and we want you at the core.

Highly competitive US compensation package (base + bonus + equity), with performance reviews every 12 months.

Join one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies — your chance to directly shape how global AI capacity is planned and deployed.

Expect a dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions. Grow by leading critical cross‑functional initiatives and shaping capital strategy — always with our full support.

Human-First Flexibility: We treat you as humans first. Our flexible workplace trusts Nscalers to deliver, giving you the autonomy to shape your day around life's moments.

We strongly encourage applications from people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio‑economic backgrounds.

If there’s anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know.
