Clinical Trials Registered Nurse (RN)

Get to Know Your Team:

  • BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs, and three private infusion rooms for families.

Responsibilities

  • The Clinical Trials Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and managing oncology clinical research studies in compliance with federal regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies.
  • This position serves as a key liaison among patients, physicians, research sponsors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the successful implementation of clinical trials while maintaining patient safety and protocol integrity.
  • The Clinical Trials RN provides direct patient care to research participants, coordinates study-related activities, monitors compliance with study protocols, and supports advancements in cancer treatment through clinical research.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Diploma, Associate or bachelor's program.
  • Current and valid RN license in Texas.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • At least one (1) year of oncology nursing experience.
  • Clinical research experience.
  • Experience in an acute care, infusion center, or cancer treatment setting.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®)
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC®)
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP®)

Equivalent clinical research experience may be considered in lieu of the nursing degree requirement
