Work Locations: GT Bray, 5502 33rd Avenue Drive West, Bradenton, Florida 34209 John Marble, 3675 53rd Avenue East, Bradenton, Florida 34203 Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, hours will vary Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Responsible for safety and well-being of children, ages 5 and up, in a structured seasonal day camp program. Supervises and instructs children in a variety of recreational activities including sports and games, arts and crafts, swimming and field trips

Responds quickly, calmly, and appropriately in emergency situations. Performs other duties as requested (including weather and other extreme conditions). Minimum Qualifications Completion of 11th grade and at least 17 years of age at the time of Summer Camp start date.

Community CPR and First Aid certifications required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire. More Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail oriented, and organized.

Able to resolve routine situations and problems. General knowledge of a variety of recreation activities suitable for children, youth, and clientele having special needs. General knowledge of facilities and equipment needed in a comprehensive recreation program.

General knowledge of rules and regulations governing the play of a variety of recreation games. Good knowledge of hazards and safety precautions necessary for protection of the public and employees in recreation activities. Able to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations.

Able to lead, instruct, and supervise children participating in recreational activities and programs. Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact professionally and effectively with camp staff, children, parents, and other stakeholders, sometimes under stressful and emergency conditions. Able to explain facts, policies, and practices.

Work is closely supervised.
