The ministry began with the church located in Costa Mesa, CA and has flourished and expanded into a multifaceted ministry, which includes Christian Schools, a Bible College, a School of Worship, Christian Radio Stations, Christian radio programs, Christian book distribution, and Christian bookstores. The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating the school bus according to a set daily schedule. He/she must ensure that the school bus is in good operating condition at all times, pick up and drop off students as per the schedule, maintain order and security on the bus, and obey all laws, regulations and rules of conduct. CCS is staffed by accepting, loving, and caring individuals, giving students the opportunity to grow in wisdom and knowledge in a safe, wholesome, Christ-centered environment. They will be a minister of the Gospel in this position by ministering and praying for and with the students and parents. They will also serve within the practical areas of this position. They will be an example to the staff, students, and parents.

• Must possess a current class B School Bus License or SPAB/passenger endorsement equivalent and approved DOT medical.
• Must possess and maintain a valid School Bus Driver Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol.
• Must possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certificate or pass the California Highway Patrol First Aid exam.
• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Desire to help and serve students, parents, and staff members
• Willingness to learn school policies and procedures and work within them
• Commitment to being punctual, professional, and discrete
• Five years of experience in operation of a motor vehicle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work requires some physical exertions such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, stooping, reaching or lifting moderately heavy objects; work requires above average agility and dexterity; seeing to monitor students on bus; hearing and speaking to provide assistance and exchange information related to ridership; moderate risks or discomforts such as working around moving parts, machines or chemicals. Operate school buses or vehicles of various sizes for prolonged periods of time requiring constant attention to traffic and road conditions while maintaining appropriate student behavior. Some extreme road and traffic conditions occur during inclement weather.
