Job description

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Transportation, the Charter Bus Assistant delivers best-in-class charter service for guests entering and exiting Yaamava' Resort & Casino. Ensures all guests' arrival and departure experiences are memorable, unique, and in alignment with brand standards/expectations - requiring a high level of professionalism, anticipatory service, and enthusiasm focusing on guest comfort. Contributes to the mission and vision by creating a positive and productive working environment. Maintains a positive attitude and public image while delivering authentic greetings, and cordial farewells, centered on a sense of personal service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Delivers exceptional service with courtesy and enthusiasm, consistently exceeding guest expectations through positive and engaging interactions. Ensures accurate passenger count. Greets all arriving guests promptly and professionally, ensuring a friendly and efficient check-in process. Additionally, offers a gracious and cordial farewell upon departure, leaving a lasting positive impression.
2. Processes charter groups by validating player status, confirming passenger manifests accuracy, and completing tracking/processing paperwork.
3. Conducts all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism by providing an enthusiastic and authentic time-based greeting, displaying professional non-verbal communication, showing genuine interest, using the guest's name naturally, while anticipating guest needs with a thoughtful touch, and conveying a sincere thank you.
4. Monitors and tracks vendor Department of Transportation (DOT) and Public Utility Commission (PUC) status to remain in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
5. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of customer experience required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of casino operations experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management, both verbally and in writing, is a must.
  • Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must actively listen to provide optimal service tailored to guest requests.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high demand environment required.
  • Must be comfortable working and speaking with the public.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.
