This role provides foundational warehouse experience for individuals interested in growing within Brite Ideas. The Technician works under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and collaborates with all specialty departments (Audio, Video, Lighting, Rigging) to ensure gear is prepared, transported, and returned through proper systems, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Essential Functions

General Warehouse Operations

  • Pull, prepare, and stage equipment for events per project pull sheets and Warehouse Manager or Lead direction.
  • Return gear through Flex or other system, ensuring accurate counts, scanning, and accountability.
  • Load and unload trucks for events and warehouse movements.
  • Organize, restock, and maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse, storage areas, and workstations.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, palletizing, case labeling, and general material handling.
  • Move equipment safely throughout the warehouse using carts, pallet jacks, and other non-DOT equipment.
  • Prevent loss, damage, or misplacement of equipment through proper handling and documentation.

Basic Quality Control & Equipment Handling

  • Perform basic cleaning, visual inspection, and functional power-on checks for gear returning from events, or other SOP as directed by department specialists.
  • Identify damage, missing items, or operational concerns and escalate to the Warehouse Manager or appropriate Specialist.
  • Coil, label, sort, and organize cables across all departments (audio, video, lighting, rigging).
  • Assist in maintaining case labels, asset tags, and shop organization standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with Brite Ideasโ€™ safety protocols.

Systems, Tracking & Documentation

  • Use Flex Rental Solutions (or similar system) for scanning equipment in/out; training provided.
  • Maintain accuracy with all scanning, counts, and movement of gear through the warehouse.
  • Notify supervisors of equipment issues, missing inventory, or safety concerns.

Local Pickups & Logistics Support

  • Assist with occasional local pickups, drop-offs, or vendor returns using a Class C vehicle (no DOT or CDL requirements).
  • Support Drivers and Logistics with staging outbound gear and receiving inbound equipment.

Cross-Departmental Warehouse Support

  • Assist Audio, Video, Lighting, and Rigging departments with simple, non-technical duties during peak workflows.
  • Support project staging, case organization, cable runs (shop only), and general labor tasks as directed.

Onsite Support (Occasional & Under Supervision)

  • Assist with basic load-ins and load-outs under direct supervision.
  • Move and place equipment as directed by Leads or Technical Directors.
  • Run and label basic data/power cables or place racks/cases as assigned (no specialty testing or configuration).

Company Support

  • Provide excellent internal customer service and uphold a positive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and safety sessions.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.

All employees are expected to adhere to the B.I. Values (The B.I. Way):

  • Respect: Be considerate of one's self, one another, the team, clients, vendors, venues & our equipment.
  • Service: Exceed expectations. Be the problem solver. Be a partner not just a vendor.
  • Integrity: By ensuring actions are consistent with words. Earn the trust of both internal and external customers, by dedication, responsibility, consistency, honesty and truthfulness in relationships.
  • Creativity: We're passionate, and we love tough problems and new challenges. You don't hear a lot of "I don't know how" or "I can't." When faced with a hurdle, we come together and strive to be clever, original, inventive and cutting edge.
  • Growth: We recognize that people are one of our key assets and we should value their contributions, reward them fairly, and develop them to their fullest potential. Our goal is to provide leadership opportunities for further growth, thus helping our people realize their career aspirations.
  • Attitude: Our attitude is shaped by combining these elements together. How we tackle a problem, work with a client or interact with one another is just as important as what we create.

Requirements

  • 0โ€“1 years of warehouse, production, live event, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Experience with basic hand tools, carts, pallet jacks, or general warehouse equipment a plus.
