What is a flex quality engineer?

Flex Quality Engineers are professionals responsible for ensuring that products and processes at Flex, a global manufacturing and supply chain solutions company, meet established quality standards. They develop and implement quality control processes, conduct audits, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues. Their goal is to maintain consistent product quality, comply with regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a flex quality engineer?

To thrive as a Flex Quality Engineer, you need a solid background in quality assurance, manufacturing processes, and a degree in engineering or a related field. Familiarity with quality management systems (like ISO 9001), statistical process control tools, and root cause analysis methodologies is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills for this role. These competencies are crucial for ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance in dynamic manufacturing environments.
