Pay Rate: $25.35/hour + $3.50/hour Shift Premium = $28.85/hour
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery to manufacture products in a timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. The Machine Operator will review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
  • Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
  • Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs.
  • Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
  • Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
  • Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed.
  • Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed.

Requirements:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent (GED). 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Work in a team environment in a professional manner.
  • Effectively communicate.
  • Utilize applicable hand tools with precision.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
