Job description

Description

Under the direction of the Fabrication Lead the Flex Operator will operate multiple types of machinery as needed, including but not limited to, CNC mills, plasma cutting tables, robotic welders, and polishing machines. This role requires a high degree of adaptability, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety. The Flex Machine Operator will be responsible for producing high-quality parts and products, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure efficient operations.ย 


This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to timeย 

  • Operate, set up, and maintain various manufacturing machines, including CNC mills, plasma cutting tables, robotic welders, and polishing machines, based on production needs.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine appropriate machine settings, tools, and sequences of operations.
  • Conduct quality checks on parts and products to ensure they meet specifications and company standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, making adjustments as needed to maintain production flow.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned to support overall plant operations.

Requirements

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.


Experience:

2- 4 years' operating a variety of manufacturing machinery, with specific experience in at least two of the following: CNC Milling, plasma cutting, robotic welding, or polishingย
