The Cell Operator 1 is responsible for supporting the daily operation of the automated material handling system including operating robotic cells, clearing system faults, maintaining supply levels, and using HMI interfaces to execute tasks. The Operator is expected to be fully trained and execute throughput goals on outbound, MIB (Manual Inbound), and overall structure as well as developing proficiency in inbound operations.Job Description

Description

  • System Operation & Throughput Operate automated cells in outbound and MIB to meet or exceed hourly rate & throughput goals, availability metrics, product quality, and MTTR (Mean Time to Respond). Operate automated cells in inbound for training, development, and overall team flexibility. Run the cell consistently, being conscious of hourly rate & throughput goals, availability metrics, product quality, and MTTR (Mean Time to Respond)Use Human/Machine Interface (HMI) to execute standard commands and respond to basic system prompts. Respond and resolve all alarms on assigned cells. Support flow by assisting robotic/manual adjustments and tracking issues that need reported to maintenance.

  • System Prep, CIM, Supply & Sanitation Perform pre- and post-shift system checks including pre-flights, post-flights, and full Clean, Inspect, Maintain (CIM) procedures. Replenish supplies (stretch wrap, labels, etc.) and notify if restock is needed. Maintain sanitation and 5S standards in work area. Ensure work areas and cell components are cleaned and cleared throughout the shift.

  • Communication & Flex Support Use radio to communicate clearly with Control Center (CC), leadership, and co-workers. Respond to requests for assistance in other locations or flows, showing adaptability and flexibility (i.e. Flex into other flows or locations like inbound, staging, support as needed).

  • System Support Identify and escalate system issues, including but not limited to safety, product or system loss issues, or opportunities. Maintain awareness of system performance and alignment to cell goals. Assist with system recovery and maintain bot cleanliness. Engage in bot wrangling, suspect case collection, and minor flow redirection as required.

  • Physical abilities: : The employee is routinelyrequiredto work at heights of up to 45 feet, regularly be near railings that are high off the ground, and within restrictive areas of 24 inches,to stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms, including climbing of steep stairs into the structure. Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs; Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
