Job Title: Engineer III - Injection Molding Location: Lakewood, Colorado Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $105,800.00 - $132,300.00 Schedule: Monday - Friday Day hours

Overview A global leader in medical device manufacturing is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. In this high-impact role, you will directly influence the design, development, and production of next-generation medical devices while serving as the technical expert for complex, highly automated plastics manufacturing processes. You will lead the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of injection molding operations, driving improvements in product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and overall cost performance in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead projects and provide technical leadership for manufacturing initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and mold makers.
  • Support safety, regulatory compliance, and KPI objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job, preferably Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience.
  • Two years of GMP manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong understanding of injection molding, plastics processing, tooling, and assembly.
  • Hands-on injection molding set-up and process development experience.
  • Knowledge of mold design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Experience with mold flow simulation reviews and design for manufacturability.
  • Deep understanding of polymer behaviors (ABS, PVC, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Nylon).
  • Familiarity with FDA/regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues onsite.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Physical ability to support lab and manufacturing environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in tight spaces.
