Job description

A day in the life — Monette, AR

You kick off the morning scanning ERP dashboards and production metrics. A spike in scrap triggers a structured root cause analysis; by noon, you’ve validated corrective actions and aligned cross-functional partners on the path forward. The afternoon shifts to design-for-manufacturability reviews—translating product concepts into robust, repeatable molding processes. You close the day by mentoring junior engineers on best practices and exploring a promising new molding technology to pilot next quarter.

What you'll own
  • Designing, developing, and tuning injection molding processes to drive efficiency, quality, and cost improvement.
  • Leading rigorous root cause investigations and implementing durable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partnering with design, quality, and operations to ensure parts are manufacturable and meet all specifications.
  • Driving projects for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and the introduction of new molding technologies.
  • Coaching and upskilling junior engineers and production teams on technical standards and methods.
  • Monitoring KPIs and deploying strategies to lift throughput, yield, and first-pass quality.
  • Staying on top of industry advances in materials, tooling, and molding equipment.
What you'll bring
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with a deep focus on injection molding.
  • Expert knowledge of molding processes, materials, tooling, and press/auxiliary equipment.
  • Proficiency with CAD and related engineering tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset.
  • Clear, collaborative communication skills and effectiveness in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma; formal certification is a plus.
Hands-on strengths
  • Mixing
  • Plastic Extrusion Experience
  • Injection Molding Experience
  • Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience
Tech you'll touch
  • ERP Software
  • CAD and engineering analysis tools
