Job Description:

Finney's Institutional Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Fulfillment Technician. As a vital part of our fulfillment team, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medication orders for all customers and ensuring prompt and professional handling of orders, medications, supplies, and documentation. Additionally, you will maintain a positive and pleasant demeanor with all customers and colleagues while accurately fulfilling customer requests, processing fulfillment requests, and handling STAT orders as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with additional time as required based on daily workloads.
  • Alternating Saturday shifts are also required to support customers and production schedules from 8AM-2PM.
  • Participation in the on-call rotation is voluntary, with incentive pay provided.

Responsibilities:

• Fill daily prescription orders: punch cards, bulk items, OTCs, compounding, strip packs, pre-packs, etc.

• Process and organize facility cycle fills

• Work from a calendar cycle schedule to stay on task

• Monitor batch monitor via Framework software

• Work pre-pack MTS-350 machines and MTS Autobond heat sealers

• Process orders through DOSIS automation systems

• On-the-job training to master IV fulfillment

• Ensure deliveries are complete and fulfilled within established Service Level Agreements

• Stock and restock medication inventory

• Assist in toting and manifesting at the end of the day

• Work closely with the Materials Management to maintain drug levels

• Work closely with coworkers as a team to ensure the timely delivery of products

• Keep area clean and organized (5-S) to stay on task

• Contribute to the establishment of a continuous improvement culture

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacy technician license from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Trainee temporary license from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Previous pharmacy experience extremely valuable and desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires standing for extended periods of time.
  • Heavy lifting is not required, but a technician should be able to lift up to 10lbs.
  • Technicians will be required to push wheeled carts containing a number of bins from one location to another.
  • Operating a desktop keyboard and mouse.
  • Communicating with employees, patients, caregivers, and physicians by phone, fax, and email in a courteous and professional manner.
