Job Description

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Outpatient- Flex Sched), Portland, Oregon OR

Experienced Psych Nurse Practitioner needed 2-3 days per week in Portland. (Flexible Schedule, work the days you choose)

The practitioner provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults and children, in a community mental health clinic.

Responsibilities include initial and updated psychiatric evaluations, routine follow-up care, and medication management. Prefer psychiatric nursing or mental health experience, but will consider a recent graduate.

Provider must have excellent organizational skills, along with effective oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills required.

Should have knowledge of current trends and concepts of professional psychiatric practices, as well as the principles and practices of common health problems, mental health, clinical assessment, and continuity of patient care and community aspects of health services

Should be able to interface with mental health therapists and the medical community

Bilingual, Spanish-English a plus

Must be licensed as a PMHNP or CNS in the State of Oregon, Prescriptive training/experience required and DEA
