Oak Grove Technologies, LLC, a dynamic and fast-growing federal contractor, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Driver Training Rangemaster to support operations at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Artesia, New Mexico.

Requirements

Vehicle Prep & Maintenance

  • Ensure all training vehicles are prepped prior to class-cleaned, fueled ( tank or more), inspected, and in full working order (lights, wipers, tires, mirrors, emergency equipment, etc.).
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintain logs; report and transport inoperable vehicles to the motor pool within two business days.
  • Perform monthly PIT vehicle inspections; repair/replace bumpers, brackets, bolts, and ensure structural integrity.
  • Rotate vehicle usage evenly and maintain up-to-date vehicle availability and repair status reports.

Range & Equipment Operations

  • Set up and reset all driver training ranges daily (Emergency Response, NEVO, Skid, 4x4, etc.) and return to default configurations after use.
  • Sweep all ranges daily; sweep NEVO and skid pads weekly. Clear snow/ice and apply melt as needed.
  • Provide and operate forklift and recovery/wrecker vehicles as needed to support training or vehicle transport.
  • Maintain clean and safe practical exercise areas and bleachers.

Training Equipment Management

  • Issue, log, inspect, and sanitize all government-furnished training gear (helmets, radios, first aid kits, etc.).
  • Clean helmets after each use using sanitizer and approved solutions; track cleaning with detailed logs.
  • Provide water and sports drinks with cups on each training range, including for night drives.

Fueling & Environmental Safety

  • Fuel vehicles at designated government fuel points and inspect ASTs daily.
  • Train staff on spill containment; ensure kits are stocked and available.
  • Report spills promptly per FLETC environmental procedures and provides initial response and cleanup.
  • Maintain rinse rack cleanliness per guidelines and schedule.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Maintain logs for vehicle inspections, helmet cleaning, and issued equipment.
  • Submit weekly reports of vehicle status and monthly reports for mileage and fuel usage.
  • Ensure compliance with scheduled and ad-hoc training support needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Staffing Requirements

  • Provide sufficient licensed Range Support Staff for all training classes, including simultaneous classes at different locations.
  • Support unscheduled night drives, remedial sessions, and weekend operations as needed.
  • Ensure team coverage for all emergencies or maintenance issues during training.

Qualifications:


Driver Training Range master must possess the following minimum requirements:

  • Two years of experience in automobile repairs.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise work orders, explaining required vehicle repairs.
  • Ability to perform operator maintenance and conduct safety inspections of training vehicles to include fluid replacement, tire changes, windshield wipers, etc. and assist the auto shop as necessary in getting vehicles on-line for training.
  • Ability to test drive training vehicles and evaluate repairs made to the vehicles to ensure repairs are proper and complete.
  • Capable of operating the following vehicles and equipment: (Current certification to be on file at the Contractor's office):

          - Forklift with a 6-ton capacity

          - Tow truck properly and safely with a vehicle in tow

          - All-terrain vehicle

  • Ability to complete government training provided and perform Hazardous Waste Satellite Accumulation Area and Universal Hazardous Waste management responsibilities in accordance with the FLETC-OAO Hazardous Waste Management Plan.
  • Possess a valid operator's license in the State of New Mexico
  • Must be able to lift up to (50) pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire. In accordance with federal requirements, male applicants must be registered with the Selective Service System or provide proof of exemption. *
