Job description

Off Duty Police or Retired Police Officers

We are currently seeking professional and experienced off-duty or retired police officers to join our team as Security Officers at various retail locations. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their customers. Please note that for this position, we require individuals who are retired police officers or off police officers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Stationed at the front entrance of the property, ensuring a visible and authoritative presence to deter illegal activity.

- Maintain fire lanes clearance, ensuring the safety and accessibility of emergency services.

- Observe and report any suspicious or illegal activity to the store manager.

- Work closely with the store management team to address security concerns and follow their instructions regarding any specific procedures or protocols.

Qualifications:

-Retired police officer with a valid department gun card (required).

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with members of the public and store employees.

-Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, exercising good judgment.

-High level of situational awareness and attention to detail.

-Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

-Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred. - Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. *Per Mar Security is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer/Women/Minorities/Veterans/Disabilities

Please note that this position does not involve apprehension or engagement with suspicious activity. Security Officers will solely be responsible for observing and reporting any illegal activity to the store manager.
