Job description

Title: Automotive Technical Trainer
Locations: Ridgeville, SC
Compensation Range: 85 - 95K, depending on experience
Availability: 8-hour Workday, Monday - Friday; Training Hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
We are seeking a Technical Instructor for a Volvo Retailer Technical Training Center in Ridgeville, SC.
The Instructor is responsible for the facilitation of all Volvo Technical Training courses using the approved Trainer Accreditation delivery methodology. This includes set up of courses and tear down. It may require some travel to other training locations or other specified locations to deliver remote training. In addition, virtual training and webinars for courses will also be required.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Set up and tear down courses and organize tools
  • Manage tool inventory
  • Clean and maintain local fleet
  • Coordinate local contractors to maintain facility
  • Facilitate live, virtual, and remote technical training
  • Check in training participants and ensure safety protocols are adhered to
  • Ensure participants are properly dressed for a productive and safe session
  • Maintain rosters and close out courses
  • Proctor assessments
  • Bug cars as needed for training tasks

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating automotive technical courses with a large Automotive Manufacturer or with a Certified Automotive Technical School
  • Strong knowledge in advanced automotive diagnostics and hybrid / all electric vehicle systems
  • Automotive technical skills; acquired through experience at retailer or independent automotive service facility or through a Technical College or similar training program
  • Computing & analytical skills; MS Word, MS PowerPoint & MS Excel
  • Strong leadership, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Understanding of Adult Learning concepts and facilitation styles
