Leveraging its strengths in large-scale fleet management, Avis Budget Group hasentered intoa strategic partnership with a leader in self-driving technology to launch and scale a fully autonomous ride-hailing service. This initiative reflects our commitment to advancing modern mobility solutions beyond traditional rental services.

As a Fleet Depot Associate, Autonomous Vehicles ("AV"),you will perform critical hands-on duties that ensure the safety, readiness, and availability of the autonomous vehicle fleet. You will report to the Manager, Operations - Ride Hail, with a dotted line to the Fleet Coordinator. This position focuses on vehicle preparation, deployment, sensor calibration support, charging operations, cleanliness, and overall depot efficiency.

WhatYou'llDo:

  • Perform daily servicing of autonomous vehicles, including cleaning, charging, and sensor calibration supportin accordance withcompany standards

  • Drive autonomous vehicles in self-drive mode asrequiredfor calibration and deployment procedures

  • Research and troubleshoot "no hail" vehicle states using diagnostic tools; perform remote resets or escalate to fleet response support when needed

  • Complete safety and operational checklists, including pre-deployment software updates

  • Deploy and stage vehicles into Rider-Only Commercial Service as directed

  • Move and position vehicles within the depot and between charging or maintenance areas

  • Report charging equipment issues or performance concerns to technical staff

  • Handle, transport, and secure equipment such as keys, laptops, cleaning tools, and related assets in compliance with security standards

  • Maintain organized work areas and ensure depot cleanliness

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures tomaintaina safe work environment

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States

  • Successful completion of pre-employment qualification checks

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, nights, or weekends as business needs require

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for up to 8 hours and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. withassistance
