As the Via Supply Chain Fleet Manager, you will lead fleet operations supporting Zipcar's partnership with Via across Texas. You'll work closely with internal teams, supply chain partners, and vendors to ensure vehicles are maintained, repaired, and ready for service while maximizing fleet availability. From overseeing in-fleeting and de-fleeting activities to managing a team and driving operational performance, you'll play a key role in delivering a reliable, high-quality experience for our members and partners.
What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with Zipcar/ABG Supply Chain functional teams - including Regional Operations Manager, National Fleet Manager, and Program Manager - on overall strategy for Zipcar's Via partnership program across Texas.
  • Management of TX fleet operations at Dallas ABG Supply chain in accordance with regional Via fleet plan to achieve fleet targets and business KPI. Expected on-site at Supply Chain Monday-Friday.
  • Communicate regularly with Via's local fleet-leads (LFL) to ensure operational continuity and optimization of vehicle uptime.
  • Work closely with TX ABG Supply Chain leadership and third-party vendors (on and off site).
  • Manage the end-to-end process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including installation/removal of Zipcar's proprietary access system, technology inventory control, and vehicle delivery to partner sites.
  • Leverage Zipcar processes and analyze vehicle metrics to manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of vehicles while minimizing vehicle downtime.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and cleaned to Zipcar's high standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance to maximize vehicle condition and uptime while minimizing costs.
  • Daily communication and reporting with Supply Chain and Operations leadership regarding fleet planning strategy and weekly/monthly fleet status projections.
  • Work across Zipcar functional teams to support performance and process improvement.
  • Drive Zipcar Net Promoter Score (NPS) via excellent vehicle condition and readiness feedback.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of fleet management staff including but not limited to performance management, succession planning, goal setting, development, and input performance reviews.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and logistics
  • 5 yrs. experience in relevant field/roles
  • Management - demonstrated ability to manage workflow, tasks, vendors, and teams
  • Measurement - the results-driven individual has experience tracking the success of operational improvement programs, and is not only a provider of great ideas, but a business leader with an acute eye for ROI.
  • Problem solving can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner gather and analyze information skillfully while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Communication: has excellent verbal and written communication skills and can articulate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Group presentation skills are also required.
  • Planning/organizing: Individual is self-directed, prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently
  • Quality Control: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adaptability: the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

The annual starting salary for this position is between $70,000-$80,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
