Job description

The Shamrock Foods Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for operating the safest and most cost-effective fleet in the industry while meeting all State and Federal laws and regulations.
Essential Duties:
  • Coordinate the maintenance of all equipment, including tractors and trailers, as measured by industry standards, DOT compliance laws and company policies regarding equipment maintenance.
  • Work with Fleet Business Manger to perform or delegate any other any other Fleet Administrative functions; Fleet maintenance records (DOT purposes), licensing, emissions and any other Fleet related items.
  • Analyze all maintenance and fueling costs provided by Fleet Business Manager and fleet administrative team to control expenditures and stay with-in planned budgets.
  • Interview, hire and train individuals for Shamrock Foods Fleet Shop and wash crew positions according to SFC policies as measured by recruitment and turnover rate.
  • Ensure Safety is a top priority for all employees.
  • Perform evaluations of Shamrock Foods Fleet Shop and wash crew Facility staff.
  • Plan, assign and direct daily Fleet Operations that support the Divisions in achieving their goals, initiatives and tasks.
  • Work daily with Operations Transportation teams to ensure that enough delivery equipment is available to fulfill route obligations.
  • Maintain the Fleet Maintenance & Fueling Facility.
  • Ensure adherence to all Federal, State and Local regulations laws and guidelines for the Fleet Maintenance & Fuel Facility.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Candidate must be at least 21 years of age
  • 5+ years of fleet maintenance management experience
  • Some educational experience/technical training or experience.
  • Experience with fleet maintenance operating system (TMW systems is preferred)
  • CDL Class A and acceptable MVR for the previous 39 months preferred
  • Must be flexible to work with the demands of the department which includes overnights, weekends, holidays and travel when needed
