Now Hiring: Fleet Maintenance Assistant
Are you mechanically curious? We're looking for a motivated and reliable Fleet Maintenance Assistant to join our team right here in sunny Lake Havasu City!
This is an entry-level position that offers a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and learn the ins and outs of vehicle maintenance from the ground up. If you're a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys variety in their workday, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What You'll Be Doing: The Nitty Gritty
You'll be the backbone of our operations, ensuring our city's fleet stays shiny, safe, and ready for action. Your day might include:
  • Keeping it Clean: Washing, detailing, and inspecting city vehicles and equipment daily.
  • Tool Time: Assisting with routine maintenance and making sure all tools are in tip-top shape.
  • Inventory Assistance: Picking up parts, checking inventory stock, and organizing supplies.
  • Grounds Keeping: Performing light building and grounds maintenance around the shop.
  • Running Errands: Dropping off vehicles for repairs and picking up essential supplies around town.
  • Paperwork & Safety: Completing daily logs, ensuring all safety equipment is inspected, and promoting safe practices.

What We're Looking For
We need someone with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn!
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimal experience in maintenance or custodial work is great, but we're willing to train the right person!
  • Must have a valid Driver's License (this is essential for moving vehicles and picking up parts).
  • Ability to perform manual labor outdoors, even when the Havasu sun is shining bright!
  • You're a team player who provides great customer service to everyone you work with.

  • Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ, Public Works, Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Schedule Note: This role may occasionally require you to work weekends and/or holidays; flexibility is key!
  • Certifications: We will help you obtain your Forklift Certification once you're on board!
