In this critical role, you'll oversee daily dispatch activities, support drivers in the field, and help ensure passengers receive safe, efficient, and dependable transportation services.

What You'll Do as a Fleet DispatcherFleet Dispatch & Operations Coordination
  • Dispatch and assign trips to drivers to ensure efficient service and route coverage
  • Monitor fleet activity in real time and make operational adjustments as needed
  • Communicate trip assignments, schedule changes, and important operational updates to drivers
  • Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining company service standards
  • Respond quickly to driver requests, service disruptions, and customer needs
  • Monitor vehicle availability and support efficient fleet utilization
  • Coordinate with field personnel to resolve operational challenges and service delays
Driver & Customer Support
  • Serve as the primary communication link between drivers, passengers, and management
  • Provide drivers with trip information, route assistance, and operational support
  • Assist with driver questions, concerns, and service-related issues
  • Address customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Help resolve transportation issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Deliver exceptional service through effective communication and follow-up
Administrative & Dispatch Support
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, trip information, and operational documentation
  • Monitor daily service levels and dispatch performance metrics
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and operational tracking
  • Work closely with management to support daily operational goals and service objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve dispatch efficiency and fleet performance
  • Ensure dispatch procedures and company policies are consistently followed
What We're Looking for in a Fleet Dispatcher
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in dispatching, fleet operations, transportation, logistics, scheduling, customer service, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, transportation management systems, or fleet monitoring platforms is a plus
