Your Responsibilities as a Fleet Dispatcher:Fleet Operations & Driver Support
  • Dispatch, monitor, and communicate with drivers throughout their shifts to ensure efficient service.
  • Track vehicle and driver activity while responding to changing transportation demands.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules and make real-time operational adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed and communicate service updates promptly.
  • Monitor on-time performance and help maintain high service standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to drivers regarding routes, schedules, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Mentor and coach drivers as needed to promote compliance, professionalism, and safe driving practices.
Customer Service & Communication
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers and customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while handling inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
  • Resolve service issues quickly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Build positive relationships through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Keep customers informed of service updates and operational changes when necessary.
Operational Excellence
  • Support daily transportation operations by monitoring service performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure quality standards are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Report operational disruptions or service deviations in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with management and team members to maintain smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications & Skills of a Fleet Dispatcher:
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software and technology platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a multi-line phone system with high call volume.
