You will collaborate closely with agents, van operators, vendors, and internal teams to support efficient, high-quality service execution.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, balancing multiple priorities, and making thoughtful decisions in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan, approve, and route shipments to available UniGroup fleet capacity to optimize equipment utilization and service performance
  • Monitor workflow systems and determine the appropriate course of action for orders, including releases and adjustments
  • Collaborate with agents, van operators, contract truckmen, and internal partners on route and order assignments
  • Support express shipments and develop creative solutions for non-standard or complex orders
  • Maximize line haul revenue and maintain visibility into available capacity such as empty trucks and inbound equipment
  • Communicate clearly with the agent network regarding order changes, requirements, and special handling needs
  • Maintain timely and accurate communication with peers, dispatchers, van operators, vendors, and customers
  • Ensure compliance with UniGroup policies and applicable federal and state regulations, including DOT and FMCSA requirements
  • Review reports, complete documentation, and support accurate service execution
  • Make independent day-to-day financial decisions within established guidelines
  • Assist in resolving complex operational issues during the load and delivery process by evaluating options and recommending the best business solution

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2–3 years of related work experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with routing, load planning, or capacity management
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfort working through complex scenarios where multiple variables must be balanced
  • Solid math skills, including cubic footage and space planning
  • Working knowledge of Excel, including formulas
  • Ability to work within legacy systems while remaining open to process and system changes

How You’ll Be Successful:

Top performers in this role tend to be:

  • Comfortable asking questions and learning quickly
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Strong communicators who build effective relationships with drivers, agents, and internal partners
  • Patient, organized, and able to prioritize competing demands
  • Action-oriented and confident making decisions with incomplete information
  • Customer-focused with a collaborative working style
