Job description

Primoris Gas Operations, which consist of companies such as Q3 Contracting, ARB, Primoris Distribution Services, Snelson and Pipejacking Trenchless, has over 60 years of experience working in the natural gas distribution industry. We are seeking reliable, safety – focused Traffic Control Flaggers & Lead Flaggers.

Join the team that keeps the job site moving safely. Q3 Contracting is hiring dependable, safety-focused Traffic Control Flaggers and Lead Flaggers to help protect our crews and the traveling public. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in managing traffic through active construction zones and ensuring work areas remain safe, organized, and efficient.

This position is based out of our Eau Claire, Wi location and supports projects located throughout Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:

  • Control the flow of vehicular traffic through construction zones using stop/slow paddles and 2-way radios
  • Set up and take down traffic control devices (cones, signs, etc.)
  • Communicate clearly with crew members and the public
  • Remain alert and attentive to changing traffic and work zone conditions
  • Follow all company safety policies and state/local traffic control regulations
  • Report unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Excellent communication skills
  • MnDOT or ATSSA flagger certification preferred (in-house training)
  • Previous flagging experience is a plus but not required
  • Lead flaggers must have 1-year verifiable experience in leading a flagging team

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and remain alert for extended periods
  • Work in heat, cold, wind, and rain
  • Ability to travel (some overnight) throughout western, central, and northern WI.
  • Work in heat, cold, wind, and rain

Q3 Contracting is a drug-free environment, and all candidates are subject to drug testing.
Compensation: $25.80/hour based on union scale - Leads will make $1.50/hr. over Union Scale
