Job description

Our client is currently seeking reliable and committed Flaggers/Traffic Controllers to join their team for the upcoming busy season!  As a Flagger/Traffic Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at industrial worksites. Reporting to the on-site supervisor, you will be responsible for directing the movement of traffic, setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct and control the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the worksite.
  • Set up, maintain, and adjust traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriers.
  • Monitor and respond to changing traffic conditions to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
  • Communicate effectively with site personnel, drivers, and pedestrians to provide clear instructions and information.
  • Maintain detailed records of traffic incidents and control measures.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:
  • Completion of Alberta flagging certification is required. 
  • Previous experience in traffic control or flagging operations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, noise and potential hazards associate with an active industrial worksite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Must be comfortable standing, walking and lifting traffic control equipment up to 50lbs. 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must have steel toe boots in good repair, hi vis vest, hi vis hard hat, safety glasses.
  • Must have a stop/slow paddle.
